"I always benefit from investing time "sharpening the saw", and I don't do enough of it.  The Fulcrum program enabled me to come away with clear focus on the primary improvement objective for my company and a plan to get to work on it right away." - Ronnie Duncan, President, TimelyText.

You, the manager and/or team member, are charged with understanding your role in contributing to the Common Good of the organization.  The Common Good includes the What: the company’s goals, and the How: the way you get there.

As a manager/team member, you will filter and frame everything you know about the organization unlike anyone else in the organization.  So, it is crucial that all team members are clear on the Common Good and understand the power of choosing to support the Common Good or detract from the Common Good everyday.

Through this program Managers and Team Members will more effectively:

- distinguish and apply management and leadership skills
- determine factors that affect team commitment
- overcome barriers to addressing issues and conflict
- make choices that lead to results
- understand the benefits of diverse opinions and values
- hold themselves and team members accountable

.........for the Common Good.

"Fulcrum was a very positive investment of time and money. Discerning and practicing management and leadership roles and responsibilities, and considering the common good for my organization was a very useful focus. Peter is an accomplished trainer and I am utilizing my learning from The Fulcrum Program everyday.” - Amy Powell, Executive Director, Chatham Habitat for Humanity

Fulcrum begins with a one-day workshop with pre-work and continues with follow-up sessions.  The workshop introduces five foundational elements:

Discover Your Base – your skills, behavior preferences, and attitude about work (and life, really.)

Act on Values – understanding clarity of personal and organizational values affect commitment to the team.

Become Authentic/Act on Choices – Authenticity occurs in every encounter you have everyday when you have a choice to contribute to the Common Good or detract from it.Empower Others – Team members who have different behavior preferences also have different learning and processing styles, and therefore will support the Common Good differently - which can be a good thing.

Master Personal and Team Accountability – Your Personal Leadership Plan is designed to hold you and your team members accountable for behaviors that contribute to the Common Good.

The follow-up sessions offer accountability for the Personal Leadership Plan goals.

Enrollment is limited.  Fee is $345.00.

What others are saying about the Fulcrum workshop…

“Fulcrum was by far, hands down, the best training I have gone through. We are using it everyday. Thank you!” - Scott Vandivier, Account Executive, WJZY-TV/DT, WMYT-TV/DT, Charlotte

“Unlike other workshops that use case studies from other places and people, Peter led us to develop our own case studies dealing with unique, seemingly complicated organizational problems. Then we were guided to find our own solutions.” -Lou Anne Crumpler, Senior Consultant, Fleishman-Hillard International

"The Fulcrum Leadership training enabled me to clearly see my upper-most goal. Knowing this, and having it forefront in my mind, helps me to see things in a different way. It is much easier to know the correct path to take to keep me on road to reaching my goals and my business's goals. Communications with my assistant, clients, and others has become clearer and far more effective. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone who would like to experience this sort of clarity." –Jerry Bergner, Financial Advisor, Edward Jones

"Your highly participative and practical "Fulcrum" workshop touched me to the core. Your very special teaching-facilitating style gave me great confidence as I dove into professional and life’s experiences and shared them with others. I thank you very much, Peter. The workshop well exceeded my expectations." - Lindsay Ruiz, Second-year Grad Student at American University, DC, Master of Science in Organization Development

"The workshop with Peter and other business owners was extremely useful for moving my own business forward.  I attended Peter's workshop because my 14-year-old company is in a period of rapid transformation.  I knew that input from others could be useful, but was amazed at how useful it would be.  Peter's questions, insights, tools and stories helped me understand both my strengths and my blind spots as a person and business owner.  The other business owners brought their own insights, examples, and empathy that gave me much more confidence about what I needed to do.  Finally -- and most importantly -- we finished the workshop by writing a personal leadership plan that focused on how we would engage with our closest teammates to move our businesses where they needed to go.  In the weeks since our workshop, my teammates and I have moved my company forward with greater speed than in any other month I can think of.  I give all the credit to the personal leadership plan.  The ROI on the two-day workshop is exceptionally, immeasurably good." -Phil Marsosudiro, Principal, Marsosudiro & Company, LLC.

"The Fulcrum workshop provided an invaluable opportunity to take a step back and better understand my work, to break out of my workplace routines and interactions to practice skills that have enhanced my management and leadership abilities.  Peter’s expertise and insights are what makes this training experience exceptional." - Dub Gulley, Director, The Small Business Center, Corporate and Continuing Education, Durham Technical Community College
